Read-A-Thon Book Reviews
The following book reviews were written by our very own Las Lomitas students!
"It all started in 7th grade swim class. Before that I was never allowed to go into the water." Right there, when Emily started swimming, she found out her secret. Emily is different, she lives on a boat but she's never been in the ocean, until now. This is fun, exciting, and has lots of action.
Ivy and Bean like to do sneaky things, like play pranks on Bean's older sister Nancy. In this book, they are trying to choose a science project, a great one. Laugh along with Ivy & Bean as they go on to their next adventure.
Yoko learns that cranes are beautiful and special. Her grandmother "Obaasan" tells her stories about the cranes. Her Grandfather "Ojiisan" teaches her how to make paper cranes. Read this book, it has lovely pictures, beautiful design, and it's a family story.
I like this book because it's sad, exciting, fun, and adventurous. The main characters are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, the Baudelaire orphans. They have to live with Count Olaf, evil villain, with his pointy nose and shiny eyes, who wants their fortune. How will they manage to survive? These poor, poor orphans. |
